SRINAGAR: The J&K Football Association and DFA Srinagar are set to hold the final matches of the Srinagar Super Division League 2023 and the Srinagar A-Division League 2023 on Sunday, December 31, at Synthetic Turf TRC here.
In the A-Division final, Muslimeen United FC will lock horns with Syed Hyder Stars FC. The game will kick off at 1:00 PM.
In the Super Division final, Kashmir Arrows FC are scheduled to take on Northall United FC. The fixture will kick off at 2:30 PM.
The winning teams will be promoted to a higher division, making these games crucial for the football clubs involved.
J&K’s professional football scene includes a four-tier league system, with the Srinagar Premier League considered the top state-level league. The Super Division League forms the second-tier of professional football in the region. The A-Division League is the third-ranked tier of pro football, while the B-Division League forming the lowest level.
The leagues are based on the principles of promotion and relegation, with the winning team moving to a higher league, while the lowest performing sides are relegated to a lower league.
The winner of the Premier Division League are promoted to I-League 3, the fourth tier of Indian professional football league system, below I-League 2.
