SRINAGAR- J&K cricketers, pacer Rasikh Salam Dar and left-arm spinner Abid Mushtaq, were both acquired in the IPL 2024 mini-auction in Dubai.
Rasikh, from Kashmir’s Kulgam, will play for Delhi Capitals in the upcoming IPL 2024 season. He was with Kolkata Knight Riders last season but was released ahead of the auction. He recently picked up a 6-wicket haul against Chhattisgarh in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Abid Mushtaq, a spin-bowling all-rounder from J&K’s Doda district, was picked by Rajasthan Royals. Abid has done well in the domestic circuit and has been duly rewarded for his performances.
Both Rasikh Salaam Dar and Abid Mushtaq were sold for their base price of Rs. 20 lakh.
Nine cricketers from J&K were shortlisted for the 2024 IPL mini-auction. The players included five bowlers in Manit Singh Jasrotia, Basit Bashir, Waseem Bashir, Mujtaba Yousuf and Rasikh Salam Dar; four all-rounders in Vivrant Sharma, Nasir Lone, Abid Mushtaq and Shubham Singh Pundir.
