SRINAGAR– Former J&K senior cricket team captain, Parvez Rasool, has continued his fine showing in the Sri Lankan domestic cricket scene. Playing for Baduraliya Cricket Club in the SLC Major Clubs 3 Day Tournament 2023, Parvez scored 124 runs, including 11 fours and 3 sixes, and took 6 wickets. This was his third century in Sri Lanka, as he has continued to perform well for Baduraliya.
Earlier, he helped his team dominate local rivals Bloomfield CC at Surrey Village Cricket Ground on November 26. He took 6 wickets and scored 71 runs, proving he still can do the job with both the ball and bat.
Playing in Sri Lanka, Parvez Rasool also completed a major milestone in domestic cricket, scoring 10,000 runs and taking 600 wickets.
In another game for Baduraliya, Parvez took 4 wickets and scored 58 runs.
Another J&K lad, opening batter Adil Reshi, is also playing in domestically in Sri Lanka.
Parvez Rasool has made himself available for selection in the 2024 IPL Mini-Auction. Parvez was left unsigned in the past two seasons of the league, will hope his performances in Sri Lanka are not going unnoticed.
