Nestled within the serene campus of Kashmir University, Naseem Bagh has emerged as a captivating haven, especially during the enchanting embrace of autumn. In this season of transition, the air is imbued with a sense of tranquility and Naseem Bagh has become a place for students and locals to come together and enjoy autumn.
Thanks to social media, more and more people are drawn towards the garden during the autumn season. One such person is Aijaz Ahmad, who has come all the way from North Kashmir’s Handwara to witness autumn in the city. Aijaz along with his friends had rented a vehicle for a day.
“I had seen a picture from Naseem Bagh campus on social media which drew me to this place. We came in the morning, toured Dal Lake, Hazratbal Shrine and now came to Naseem Bagh. I must say, autumn has a different feel in the city.” Aijaz said.
“We have spent a day here, now we will leave.”
The majestic Chinar trees, painting the landscape in hues of gold and crimson, beckons locals and students alike.
The allure of the mighty Chinars, their leaves gracefully descending in a mesmerizing dance, is drawing visitors from all corners, especially students from adjacent NIT.
Amit Choudhary, a student of NIT Srinagar has come to witness Naseem Bagh for the first time.
“The Chinar Trees in Naseem Bagh outnumber the trees in NIT in terms of magnanimity and beauty. In NIT, the trees are scattered while in KU, they stand tall rooted uniformly distant from each other.” said Amit, who hails from Uttar Pradesh.
“I see people from all backgrounds and tourists as well, It garden has a different vibe” Amit added.
In another corner, students of Business School, Kashmir University armed with smartphones and cameras, were busy capturing the picturesque scenes, creating a vibrant tapestry of seasonal beauty on their social media platforms.
Farhan Mukhtar, currently pursuing IMBA, said that he finds the tranquility of this place amazing.
“No matter where you go, you cannot find this vibe anywhere else in this world. The pictures taken here come out really beautiful. This place is known for autumn, the chinars, and the fallen leaves.” Farhan said.
“I would like to recommend this place to tourists, this will give them a feel about local college and university life” Farhan added.
