Srinagar- Healthcare Management Update 2023 was organized by Kashmir chapter of Academy of Hospital Administration (AHA) at SKIMS Auditorium Thursday. The inaugural function was followed by daylong scientific sessions.
Director SKIMS and Ex-officio Secretary to Govt. Prof. Parvaiz A. Koul who was chief guest on the occasion appreciated the organizers for conducting the event to train healthcare managers who he said have a critical role in healthcare facility in hospital management. He stressed that technological advances and newer concepts need to be embraced and embedded in hospital management. He further added that the operational models in hospital management need to be locally relevant for efficient functioning.
Dr. Mushtaq A Rather Director Health Services, Kashmir who was guest of honour on the occasion lauded the organizers for conducting the event which he said will benefit the healthcare managers in creating better understanding of hospital management.
Dr. Yashpal Sharma, National President AHA ,India and Director(coordinator) New GMC’s, Paramedical and Nursing Collages graced the occasion as guest of honour. He appreciated the role of Hospital Administration SKIMS.He also underscored the importance of healthcare managers in hospital management.
Principal SKIMS Medical College, Prof.Irfan Robbani ,Dean Medical Faculity SKIMS Prof. Bashir A Laway also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the role of Hospital Administration in patient care management.
Prof. Farooq ahmad Jan Medical Superintendent SKIMS and President AHA, Kashmir chapter in his welcome address thanked all the guests and participents .He highlighted the activities of the event and said that the event is aimed to prove the quality of healthcare managers and their executive performance.
The event was attended by Hospital Administrators , Medical Superintendents, CMO’S BMO’s, nursing and other healthcare professionals’ .
The inaugural function was followed by day long scientific sessions in which various experts deliberated on various topics on hospital management including Patient Safety in Hospitals, Medical Negligence, Procesional Conduct Etiquette & Ethics Regulations 2002 and Fire Safety in Hospitals.
