SRINAGAR- J&K Bank FC ran amok Monday, scoring eight goals past Galaxy FC in a Srinagar Premier League fixture at Synthetic Turf TRC here.
The Galaxy team fell apart in the second half of the game, allowing six unanswered goals as J&K Bank striker Akif Reshi scored another hat trick in the Premier Division.
Prem put Bank ahead in the 24th minute, before Akif doubled the lead in minute 30. At half time, the score read 2-0 in favour of J&K Bank.
The second half of the game saw Galaxy let in six goals, the first of which came in the 51st minute, when Waris found the back of the net. Tawfeeq made it 4-0 in the 58th minute. Akif scored in minute 74, before Prem got his second goal of the game in 78th minute. Akif pounced upon his third goal in minute 85, while Shahid got in on the act a minute later.
At full time, J&K Bank FC had beaten Galaxy FC 8-0. Bank’s Tawfeeq was awarded player of the match.
As per the fixtures list release by DFA Srinagar, the final Round 20 matchup will see Downtown Heroes FC take on FC1 on Tuesday, November 21, at Synthetic Turf TRC. The game kicks off at 3:00 PM, as per the schedule.
