SRINAGAR- In the lone Srinagar Premier League match on Tuesday, FC1 and Syed Tajjudin FC played an exciting 2-2 draw at Synthetic Turf TRC here.
Both these teams have been among the best football clubs in the Premier Division this season and possessed the attacking threat to dismantle any defence in the league. The game got off to an enthralling start at Talib gave Syed Tajjudin the lead in the 2nd minute. FC1 hit back soon after, forcing Syed Tajjudin to turn the ball into their own net. FC1, still unbeaten in the Srinagar Premier League, took the lead through Hayat in the 40th minute and entered the second half 2-1 up.
The final few minutes of the game proved to be a frenzy as Syed Tajjudin kept looking for an equaliser, while FC1 tried hard to thwart the attacks. However, Syed Tajjudin was rewarded for their persistence when Ishfaq found the back of the net in added time. The game ended in a 2-2 draw, with Ishfaq awarded man of the match for his equalising goal.
The 2023 Srinagar Premier League action will continue on Wednesday. J&K Bank FC are scheduled to take on AG’s Office XI, in what will a thrilling game of football between two attack-minded teams. The match kicks off at 3:00 PM.
