Srinagar- The Union Territory Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha on Wednesday thanked the federal government, especially Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for being instrumental in introducing 75 Srinagar Smart City electric buses as part of the Electric Bus Project in Srinagar.
The J&K LG said that 25 additional buses would be introduced in Srinagar over the course of the next few days, allowing the public to experience cutting-edge electric technology.
He said the introduction of state-of-art technology vehicles to Kashmir for the first time was made possible by the central government, particularly Prime Minister Modi.
Today’s launching of 75 Srinagar Smart City Electric buses as part of the Electric Bus Project in Srinagar is genuinely a source of satisfaction. 25 more electric buses will be added to the city in the coming days, Sinha told reporters after launching Srinagar Smart City Electric Buses at the Iconic Lal Chowk here.
People of Srinagar would embark on a whole new adventure with these smart electric buses, which are equipped with all the latest technology with zero emission, LG added.
He said the UT administration received all the assistance the central government could provide in order to deploy such a cutting-edge fleet of electric buses in Srinagar.
