Srinagar- In a third attack in the last 3 days, unidentified terrorists on Tuesday shot dead a policeman outside his house in Tangmarg area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
The deadly attack on Head Constable Ghulam Mohammad Dar comes a day after Mukesh Kumar, a labourer from Uttar Pradesh, was shot dead in Pulwama on Monday, evoking sharp condemnation from Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha and major political parties of the region.
On Sunday, police officer Masoor Ahmad was shot in the head by terrorists at Eidgah ground in this capital city when he was playing cricket with local boys.
“#Terrorists fired upon one JKP personnel HC Gh Mohd Dar resident of Wailoo Kralpora in #Baramulla at his residence. Shifted to SDH Tangmarg for treatment. Health condition critical,” Police wrote on X, previously known as Twitter
In another Tweet, police confirmed the death of the Head Constable.
“Injured Police Personnel #succumbed to his injuries & attained #martyrdom. We pay our rich tributes to the #martyr & stand by his family at this critical juncture. Area has been cordoned off. Search operation going on,” the Tweet read
