SRINAGAR– J&K’s Rayees Ahmad has won the Bronze medal in Pencak Silat at the 37th National Games being held in Goa.
Rayees won the Bronze medal in Tunggal category.
Other Pencak Silat athletes from J&K have also brought laurels to the region. Shahid Muzaffar won the Silver medal while Salik Farooq also stormed into the final by defeating his competitor from Goa.
The J&K team has won several Silver medals in the games so far.
Congratulating the J&K team, Sarmad Hafeez Commissioner Secretary, Youth Services and Sports extend his warmest congratulations for their splendid performance, and exemplary show thus far in both the individual and team events.
Terming the medallists as an inspiration to aspiring athletes and a source of pride, Secretary Sports Council, Nuzhat Gull congratulated the medallists on their exceptional performances. Gull said that each triumph of our athletes is a testament to hard work, talent, and unwavering spirit.
