SRINAGAR-A lone Round 18 game of the 2023 Srinagar Premier League wes played on Wednesday at Bakshi Stadium here.
The matchup saw J&K Police XI take on Kashmir Panthers FC. It was a cagey contest as both teams failed to break the opposing defences. At half time, the scores read 0-0. The second half seemed to be going the same way, until Salman scored the winning goal in the 87th minute to give J&K Police a 1-0 win on the day.
Two games had been scheduled for Wednesday. However, Jhelum FC received a walkover after their opponents, LoneStar Kashmir FC, did not show up to the field of play. LoneStar Kashmir have withdrawn from the Premier Division in protest, alleging JKFA indifference over certain in-game refereeing calls.
