SRINAGAR- The Department of Youth Services and Sports J&K launched the second phase of its Annual Residential Trekking Camp for girls at the picturesque region of Gulmarg.
The first phase of the camp, which featured 40 boys from various educational institutions across District Srinagar, recently concluded. On Tuesday, the second phase of the camp began with 40 girls from diverse girls’ educational institutions in Srinagar being flagged off by the Joint Director of YSS Kashmir, Waseem Raja.
The flag-off ceremony took place at the Directorate of Youth Services and Sports Wazir Bagh and was attended by District YSS Officer Srinagar Ghulam Hassan Lone, and other senior Officers and officials from the Department.
The young participants were encouraged to maintain their physical fitness and embrace the exciting adventure of trekking along the pristine natural tracks of Gulmarg. All the participants were given Tracksuits and Tracking Sticks free of any changes.
The officers took the opportunity to interact with the girls, offering words of encouragement and emphasizing the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Their heartfelt wishes for good health and a memorable trekking experience accompanied the girls as they embarked on this exciting journey.
