JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association on Wednesday announced its team for Balramji Das Tandon Memorial Tournament 2023. The 15-member squad will be led by Shiva Thakur while as Mohammad Zaid Mufti has been named as the Vice Captain. The other team members are; Arjun Sharma, Rahil Younis, Samarth Sawhney, Nityam Sharma, Shourya Chouhan, Aarit Nagpal, Mohammad Shifan, Manitvya Sharma, Arun Kumar, Jeevesh Gupta, Irfan Ashraf, Saksham Charak and Asrar Azhad.
The J&K team will play its first match from 19 to 20th October with Chandigarh at Baba Balaknath Ground, while as the second match is with Mizoram on 22nd and 23rd October at Cricket Institute of Chandigarh. This year the tournament is commencing from October 19 to November 1, 2023 at Chandigarh.
In the phase I of the tournament the league matches will be played while as in the phase II semi-finals and finals will be held.
The JKCA had organized a selection camp for Under-16 boys at Hostel Ground Jammu from October 14 to 16 to finalise the squad for the tournament.
