Srinagar- The home department on Wednesday posted Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Ashish Kumar Mishra as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Srinagar, relieving Rakesh Balwal from the charge of city police chief.
“In pursuance of the approval of Competent Authority for premature repatriation of Rakesh Balwal, IPS (MA:2012) from AGMUT Cadre, to his parent cadre i.e. Manipur cadre, the Officer is relieved from the Union territory of Jammu & Kashmir, to enable him to join his parent cadre,” reads an order issued by the Home department.
According to the order issued by Raj Kumar Goyal, Financial Commissioner/ Additional Chief Secretary, Ashish Kumar Mishra, IPS (AGMUT:13), SSP Anantnag has been transferred and posted as SSP Srinagar.
“G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy. IPS (AGMUT:14), AIG (CIV) Police Headquarters, is transferred and posted as Senior Superintendent of Police, Anantnag vice Shri Ashish Kumar Mishra, IPS.” The order adds.
