Srinagar- In yet another incident of man-animal conflict, a leopard attacked and injured a man on Tuesday in Sumbal area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Gulzar Ahmad Ganie of Tangpora village of Pattan was injured after being attacked by a leopard in Arampora village of Sumbal on Tuesday evening, reports said. Ganie, who sustained injuries in the surprise beast attack, was removed to the community health centre (CHC) Sumbal for treatment.
A doctor at CHC Sumbal told a local news agency GNS that Ganie has received minor injuries in his thigh and left ear and is being treated at the medical facility.
A Wildlife Department official said that a team has been dispatched to the area to track down the leopard.
