Srinagar- In a tragic incident, a well-known footballer from North Kashmir’s Baramulla district died of electrocution on Thursday.
Imtiyaz Ahmad Rather, a 30-year-old resident of Rangwar area in Baramulla, came into contact with a live wire while carrying out repair work at his home. Rather was immediately rushed to the Baramulla district hospital where doctors declared him dead,sources said.
Meanwhile,the village plunged into mourning after news of the footballer’s death spread in the area.
