Srinagar- Two people, including a policeman on Friday were arrested for peddling drugs in Uri area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
The policeman Sajad Hussain Qureshi of Bandi and Nadeem Ahmad Awan of Gingal were intercepted by a team of policemen at a checkpoint established in Boniyar area of Uri, officials said. During the search, 48 grams of contraband substance Heroin was recovered from their possession.
Accordingly, case under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Boniyar and investigation has been initiated.
