SRINAGAR– Three Round 16 matches of the Srinagar Premier League 2023 were played on Thursday at Synthetic Turf TRC here.
Kashmir Maharaja FC took on J&K United FC at 2:00 pm. J&K United took an early lead, with Mehran scoring in the 3rd minute. Shoaib soon made it 2-0 in the 28th minute. Ausaib scored J&K United’s third goal in the 84th minute, as the team won the game 3-0.
In the second game, Downtown Heroes FC played Kashmir Panthers FC at 4:30 pm. George gave the Heroes the lead in just the 4th minute. Inaam made it 2-0 for Downtown Heroes in the 15th, while George got his second goal of the game in the 39th minute. Kashmir Panthers pulled one back through Arpan, but Downtown soon responded through Moomin as the team went into half time 4-1 up. Arpan scored his second in the 57th minute, but the Panthers couldn’t create enough goal scoring chances. At full time, the scores read 4-2 in favour of Downtown Heroes FC, who remained undefeated in the competition.
In the final game of the day, J&K Bank FC locked horns with Real Kashmir FC (Reserves), with kick off at 7:30 pm.
J&K Bank’s Prem scored in the very first minute of the game to set the tone for the match. Adnan doubled Bank’s lead at the stroke of half time. Uneeb made it 3-0 in the 60th minute, before Rohit scored the fourth for J&K Bank ten minutes later.
