Srinagar- An elderly man on Thursday was attacked and injured by a black bear in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
75-year-old Ali Mohammad Wani was inside his apple orchard in his native Sultanpora village of Chandusa when a black bear appeared there and attacked him, reports said. Wani raised an alarm following which villagers rushed towards the spot forcing the beast to flee.
The injured septuagenarian was removed to the nearby health facility for treatment. However, the doctors there referred him to government medical college (GMC) Baramulla for advanced treatment.
