SRINAGAR- The two-day long Khelo India State Women’s Wushu League began on Thursday at Sher-i-Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex here.
The event is hosted by Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council. Secretary Nuzhat Gul inaugurated the championship in which approximately 700 girls from 15 districts of J&K are participating.
The Secretary Sports Council in her speech congratulated Wushu Association of J&K for organising the Khelo India Wushu Women’s League in Srinagar.
She said that it is the need of the hour to encourage and focus on J&K’s women athletes, as they have great potential.
Maqsood Rather Joint Secretary Wushu Association of J&K, thanked Wushu Association of India for the allotment and J&K Sports council for supporting Wushu.
