SRINAGAR: The 22nd J&K UT Squash Championship 2023 concluded at Squash Complex in Gindun Sports Complex, Rajbagh here on Tuesday. Secretary JKSC Nuzhat Gul presided over the function as Chief Guest.
The championship was organized by J&K Squash Rackets Association in collaboration with Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council and saw 438 players from different registered clubs and districts compete. Athletes from Srinagar, Kupwara, Bandipora, Budgam, Udhampur, Ganderbal, Baramulla, Anantnag, Pulwama, Kulgam & Jammu participated in five-day event.Competitions were held in Under-11 Boys, Under-13 Boys & Girls, Under-15 Boys & Girls, Under-17 Boys & Girls, Under-19 Boys & Girls, Youth U-21 Boys, Senior Men, Men’s Over 35 & Women categories.
Secretary JKSC congratulated the association for organising the event in professional manner, and also said that regular tournament will continuously be organised by the association with support of J&K Sports Council. I wish that J&K Squash Rackets Association continuously work hard to uplift Squash in Jammu & Kashmir.
Gul also assured that every possible facility will be provided by Sports Council for the promotion & development of Squash Sport in Jammu & Kashmir.
