Srinagar- Miss World Organisation and PME Entertainment on Tuesday said the venue to host Miss World 2023 event in India has not yet been finalised.
“On behalf of the Miss World Organisation, we would like to strongly state that the news picked by a few media houses that the main Miss World 2023 Finale is being held in Kashmir is unfounded and incorrect” said Jamil Saidi, Chairman PME Entertainment in a statement.
He said the venue for the finale is yet to be finalised and will be announced officially at a later date.
As reported earlier a group of global Beauty Divas visited Kashmir on a day long trip as a prelude to the Miss World pageant 2023 on Monday. They included Miss World Karolina Bielawska of Poland, Miss World India Sini Shetty, Miss World America Shree Saini and Julia Morley, chairperson and CEO of the Miss World Organisation.
Bielawska’s visit to Kashmir, first for an international beauty pageant winner, comes ahead of the 71st edition of the Miss World 2023 pageant, to be held in India later this year.
India, which has won the prestigious title six times, is hosting the pageant after nearly three decades. The last time the country hosted the event was back in 1996.
