Srinagar- Medical Superintendent Govt. Psychiatric Diseases Hospital, (IMHANS-K) Sunday denied alleged interruption of de-addiction services being provided by the hospital at CGH Unit of SMHS, Srinagar, terming the report as ‘misleading’.
“This is in response to a misleading report that has been circulating in a section of the media giving an impression that de-addiction services provided by the Govt. Psychiatric Diseases Hospital, (IMHANS-K) Srinagar have been stopped. It is for information of all that there will be no interruption of services at any facility and IPD, OPD and all other services at Govt. Psychiatric Diseases Hospital, Kathi Darwaza, Rainawari as well as the Community General Hospital Unit located in SMHS complex will continue as per normal routine”, reads a rebuttal by the Medical Superintendent Govt. Psychiatric Diseases Hospital, (IMHANS-K).
Pertinent to mention here that a media report citing officials read that the rise in drug abuse cases and manpower shortages have forced closure of de-addiction services at Community General Hospital Unit SMHS Srinagar. (GNS)
