SRINAGAR– Five talented young judokas hailing from Kashmir have been selected to represent Jammu and Kashmir team in the upcoming Junior National Judo Championship.
Among them four girls named Adn Arshad, Tazeem Fayaz, Tamleek Shah and Shah Talha along with one boy named Mir Hijran have successfully secured their place in their respective weight categories. A total of 16 athletes from J&K have been selected for this championship.
Following a rigorous selection process conducted in both Kashmir and Jammu, these young judokas secured their place in their respective weight categories for participation in the Junior National Judo Championship scheduled to take place at I.G. Stadium Complex in New Delhi from 28th August to 1st September.
Abdul Hamid Khan, Vice President of J&K Judo Association along with Gowhar Khan, Joint Secretary, Senior Judo Coach Shafkat Shafi and Kabra Altaf, Judo Coach extended their heartfelt congratulations to these players and wished the team success in the upcoming championship.
