SRINAGAR- The 2023 Srinagar Premier League action continued on Saturday with two Round 10 matches played at Synthetic Turf TRC.
The first match of the day was played between STFC Natipora and Iqbal Sports FC. The game was evenly contested as the first half ended 0-0. The second half seemed to be going the same way until STFC youngsters unleashed on Iqbal Sports. Musharraf gave STFC the lead in 85th minute, before Talib made it 2-0 in 87th minute. Talib added his second in 93rd minute, before Tabish made it 4-0 a minute later. The late onslaught meant Iqbal Sports FC had lost 4-0.
Talib of STFC Natipora was awarded man of the match for his two goals and two assists.
The second game of the day saw footballing powerhouse J&K Bank FC take on Novelty FC.
Although Novelty were the underdogs in this fixture, they managed to stand tall against J&K Bank, ending the first half 0-0. However, the second half opened the flood gates, as J&K Bank took the lead through Mohammed Uneeb in 46th minute. Waris made it 2-0 ten minutes later. And that’s how the match ended. Uneeb was awarded man of the match.
