SRINAGAR- Two Round 10 matches of the 2023 Srinagar Premier League were played on Thursday at Synthetic Turf TRC here.
In the first game of the day, Ali Jana FC took on Star Kashmir FC at 3:00 PM. Ali Jana took an early lead, before doubling it. At half time, Ali Jana led Star Kashmir 2-0.
With the game looking out of reach, Star Kashmir FC raised their levels in the second half. The team duly converted a penalty and then added a second goal to bring the tie at 2-2.
However, Ali Jana used all its experience to sneak through the winner to make it 3-2 at full time.
In the second game, AG’s Office XI locked horns with Lonestar Kashmir FC. The late evening kick off saw some exciting action between two evenly balanced teams.
Lonestar Kashmir took the lead, before AG’s Office levelled the proceedings. However, LKFC boys proved too resilient as managed to grab a late first half goal to make it 2-1.
AG’s Office XI started the second half in a dominating fashion, scoring the equalising goal with much aplomb. The departmental team managed to grab another to take a 3-2 lead, but Lonestar Kashmir pulled through to make 3-3.
The back-and-forth action continued as AG’s Office took the lead, before Lonestar Kashmir made it all square. At full time, the scores read 4-4.
AG’s Office XI captain Shahnawaz Bashir was awarded man of the match for scoring two goals and providing two assists.
