SRINAGAR- The J&K Taekwondo Association on Thursday said that the District Srinagar Taekwondo Association will organise the official District Srinagar Taekwondo Championships 2023-24 under the aegis of J&K Taekwondo Association (Regd) and J&K Sports Council at Indoor Hall, Polo Ground, from 20th – 21st August 2023.
The championship is open for all Sub Junior, Junior and Senior players of Srinagar. Selected players will represent District Srinagar in the upcoming 26th J&K UT Taekwondo Championship 2023-24.
Only the medallists in the aforesaid championships will be eligible to take part in the upcoming 26th J&K-UT Taekwondo Championship.
“In addition, JKTA Athlete License is mandatory for all athletes to participate in JKTA sanction events. No entries will be accepted without the JKTA License. Black Belt Certificates are Compulsory for Senior Athletes in order to qualify for the 26th J&K-UT Taekwondo Championship, as per the guidelines of the Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI),” the JKTA said in a press relase.
“It was decided unanimously by all the office bearers of the Taekwondo Association of District Srinagar in a meeting under the supervision of President Taekwondo Association of District Srinagar Nissar Hussain.
Moreover, all Players are advised to Indoor Hall, Polo Ground, Srinagar on 19th of August 2023 at 5:00 pm sharp for weigh-in along with Complete Registration forms duly signed by parents also attached Date of Birth certificate issued by Municipality Srinagar or the Concerned Sarpanch of the village,” it added.
