SRINAGAR– Two Taekwondo athletes from Kashmir Valley, Danish Manzoor and Hashim Majeed, are set to represent India at the World Taekwondo Octagon Diamond G4 (Olympic) Ranking Championship to be held at Chuncheon, South Korea on August 15.
The championship is an official Olympic ranking event organized by Korean Taekwondo Association from 15-20 August, under the aegis of World Taekwondo. Both the athletes are training under Master Atul Pangotra (Coach, JKSC).
Le Delice (Cafe) and MSM Pvt. Limited are sponsoring the duo for this prestigious event.
Danish Manzoor has previously competed at Israel Open G2 ranking event and is eyeing for the next Olympics.
The President J&K Taekwondo Association Rajesh Pangotra congratulated both athletes and wished them luck for the championship.
The athletes thanked Aniket C Patankat (Indian Diplomat, MEA), Dr Shah Faesal (IAS) and Nuzhat Gul (Secretary J&K Sport’s Council) for their outstanding support to make their participation possible.
