Srinagar- Syed Abdul Rashid Shah, retired Divisional Forest Officer and father of Syed Abid Rashid Shah, Secretary Tourism and Culture passed away after brief illness on Wednesday.
People from different walks of life participated in his funeral prayers which were offered at Peerbagh in the lawns of Masjid Noorani.
The Fateha (Chaharum) will be observed at 10 AM on Saturday at his ancestral graveyard Mohalla Gupkar Nishat followed by Fateh khawani at J55 Govt Quarters Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar.
Several social, political and cultural organisations have offered their condolences to the bereaved family.
