Srinagar- A minor girl on Friday died after drowning in a nallah in Sopore town of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Five-year-old girl (name withheld) lost balance and slipped into Nallah Kurd at Heb Dangerpora village of Sopore on Friday evening, reports said. The villagers and police quickly launched an operation to rescue the minor.
However, after hectic efforts, the lifeless body of the girl was retrieved from the nallah.
A pall of gloom descended when the news about the tragic death of the minor girl spread in the village.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case under relevant sections in this regard.
