Srinagar– Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha is likely to participate in Zuljanah Shareef procession which will be taken out from Bota Kadal up to Imambara Zadibal on 10th of Muharram Saturday in old Srinagar.
An official said the LG Manoj Sinha is likely to pay respects at the start of Ashura procession at Bota-kadal in Lal-Bazar quarter of the city.
He said that all the necessary arrangements were being finalized in this regard and instructions have been passed on to police and other establishments for tight security arrangements.
Key Shia leaders have hailed the decision of the LG administration to lift the 34 year old ban on the 8th Muharram procession in Srinagar this year.
