Srinagar- Three sheds adjacent to a deluxe houseboat were gutted in a mysterious blaze at Dal Lake here this evening.
Witnesses told Kashmir Observer that three sheds were gutted in a mysterious fire; however the prompt action of the Fire and Emergency Department brought the devastating blaze under control.
Houseboat Golden Lily, witnesses said belongs to two siblings identified as Mohammad Yusuf and Noor Mohammad Watloo.
“I was at Lal Chowk when one of my clients called me and informed me that sheds adjacent to my houseboat have caught fire, I don’t know the cause of fire but investigations are on in the matter,” said Mohammad Yusuf.
He also said that property including furniture and other articles worth lakhs of rupees were destroyed in the blaze.
Watloo said fire tenders were immediately arrived to the spot and doused off the flames “I am grateful to the fire and emergency department for their quick response.”
