Srinagar- A woman died while her husband was injured in a road accident in Khrew area of Pampore in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday.
Quoting an official, news agency KNO reported that a scooty met with an accident in Wahab Sahab area of Khrew, resulting in injuries to a couple riding on it.
He said that the duo was shifted to a nearby hospital, where from they were referred to SMHS Srinagar. “However, woman succumbed to her injuries at SMHS hospital,” he said.
Deceased has been identified as Shahzada Banoo of Larve Kakapora and her husband was identified as Mohammad Altaf Ganaie.
Meanwhile, a man died after being hit by oil-tanker in Nussu-Badragund area of Qazigund in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
An official said that a speedy tanker hit the man near Nussu-Badragund today and he died on the spot.
He identified him as Rahul Kumar son of Mahinder Kumar of Rajasthan.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incidents.
