Srinagar- A 47-year-old man died after coming under a sand mound in Rajwar area of Handwara in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Tuesday afternoon.
Quoting officials, news agency GNS reported that one Ghulam Ahmad Mir, son of Ghulam Hassan Mir, resident of Chaki Sarmarg was alongwith several other labourers when a sand mound caved in trapping him inside at Golipora Rajwar. “The onlookers after strenuous efforts rescued and took him to District Hospital Handwara where he was however declared as brought dead on arrival”, they said.
Confirming it, a police official said that they have taken cognisance of the incident.
