Srinagar- A former militant and a member of All Party Hurriyat Conference (APHC) on Friday was booked under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA) in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
A resident of Quilmuqam village, Ameer Hamza, was booked by police under PSA for his alleged involvement in anti-national activities.
The Public Safety Act (PSA), 1978, of Jammu & Kashmir is an administrative detention law that allows detention of any individual for up to two years without a trial or charge.
“Bandipora Police booked one ex terrorist & member of APHC namely Ameer Hamza Shah R/o Quilmuqam Bandipora under PSA and lodged him in District Jail Baramulla, for his continuous involvement in anti National activities,” police wrote in a Tweet.
