SRINAGAR– J&K Pencak Silat Association is set to conduct open selection trials for both Men & Women for the upcoming 11th Senior National Pencak Silat Championship 2023-24 on Sunday, July 16 at Indoor Hall, Polo Ground here.
Eligible candidates must be in the age group of 17 to 45 years prior to the J&K teams competing in the national championship, which scheduled to be held at Nashik Maharashtra from August 12-15, 2023.
“A player should carry a valid ID proof and recommendations from their district head along with a parent declaration and a medical and health and insurance certificate and other related documents like two passport size photographs,” the association said in a statement.
“After receiving all the documents, the player is eligible for the selection trials. It is advised to all the affiliated District Pencak Silat Associations to confirm their entries for the above mentioned trails in both the genders in the Senior events,” the statement added.
“No boarding, Lodging or any Transportation will be provided during the trials. Selected athletes will face the screening team of J&K Sports Council on 17th July 2023 and will be followed by the 21-day coaching camp for the selected athletes at Srinagar accordingly.
“All the interested athletes are requested to kindly follow the procedure as per the rules and regulation laid down in this notice.
“The last deadline for the submission of the names through the district association by or before 12th July 2023.
