For Muslims, Islam is not just a religion but a complete way of life, encompassing all aspects, including spirituality, morality, social conduct, and personal well-being.
I would like to appeal to all to kindly pay attention to the way we handle newspapers, as they often contain the name of Allah. It is important that we treat them with utmost respect and refrain from using them as trash or throwing them away carelessly.
Such actions are considered major sins and a form of blasphemy. Newspapers serve as a valuable source of information, sharing news, opinions, and various other articles. They play a significant role in our society by keeping us informed and enabling us to make informed decisions. However, we must also recognize that these newspapers often include verses from the Quran, Allah’s name, or other religious references.
To show our reverence for the name of Allah & Islamic Scriptures, we should take appropriate steps to handle newspapers respectfully. Here are a few suggestions on how we can do so:
Store or recycle: If you have newspapers that are no longer needed, consider keeping them in a designated place or recycling them properly. By doing this, we ensure that the name of Allah is not mishandled or thrown away carelessly.
Avoid inappropriate use: It is crucial to refrain from using newspapers for purposes that are disrespectful, such as wrapping perishable items, lining pet cages, or using them as cleaning materials. Instead, opt for alternative materials that are more suitable for these purposes.
Educate others: Spread awareness among your family, friends, and community members about the importance of handling newspapers with care. Encourage them to adopt respectful practices when dealing with printed materials that contain religious references.
By taking these small yet significant steps, we demonstrate our respect for Allah’s name and honour the religious significance attached to it. Let us strive to preserve the dignity of printed materials that contain religious content and set an example for others to follow.
Remember, it is through our actions that we manifest our faith and uphold the values that we hold dear. May Allah guide us all and bless us with understanding and wisdom.
