Srinagar- Police on Thursday arrested two youth on charges of harassing a girl at a park in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Aqib Salam Bhat @Ponty and Yasir Ahmad Bhat, both residents of Fatehpora Baramulla were arrested on the basis of a written complaint alleging that the duo harassed/molested a girl (name withheld) at Zanana Park Khawajabagh before fleeing, a police spokesperson said Thursday.
Giving more details, he said, a police party led by SHO Police Station Baramulla raided various suspected spots after a case under relevant sections of law was registered following a written complaint.
“After the strenuous efforts, both the involved persons were arrested and have been shifted to police station where they remain in custody,” the spokesperson said.
He added that further investigation of the case is going on.
