SRINAGAR: The 2023 Srinagar Premier League continued on Thursday with two Round 4 matches taking place at Synthetic Turf TRC.
In the first match, an early morning kick off, Real Kashmir FC took on Downtown Heroes FC in a clash between two of the more renowned clubs of the Valley. The game was tightly contested and the scores read 0-0 at half time. The second half also proved to be a cagey affair, with both teams struggling to break down opposition defences.
However, Basit Ahmed gave Downtown Heroes a crucial 1-0 lead in the 82nd minute, which the Heroes maintained till full time. Basit Ahmed was awarded man of the match award for his match-winning goal.
The second match of the day was played between Kashmir Maharaja FC and Jhelum FC. Jhelum FC took the lead in first half and denied Kashmir Maharaja a clear sight on goal for the rest of the game. Jhelum FC won 1-0.
