Srinagar- In yet another incident of man-animal conflict, a woman was attacked and injured by a black bear on Thursday in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Saja Begum, wife of Wali Mohammad Mir was working in her paddy fields in her native village of Audoora in Handwara on Thursday morning when a bear appeared there and attacked her, reports said. The cries of Saja Begum, reports said, caught the attention of other villagers who rushed to the spot and chased away the beast.
Saja Begum, who sustained serious injuries in the surprise bear attack, was removed to the hospital for treatment.
