New Delhi- Union Home Minister Amit Shah, accompanied by top brass of CRPF, BSF, ITBP and other para military forces will review the security lay out plan for ensuing Amarnath Yatra, which is commencing from July 1 and culminating on August 30 Shravan Purnima, coinciding with Raksha Bandhan.
“The union minister will interact with the agencies engaged to felicitate the 62-day long yatra besides taking the review of deployment virtually,” highly placed MHA sources said.
The sources further added that the Home Minister likely to pay obeisance at cave shrine and review the preparations at ground before heading towards Jammu, where a public rally has been planned under party’s Maha Jan Sampark Abhiyaan programme being held on the completion of nine years of governance under PM Narendra Modi.
“If weather permits, the Union Minister is likely to make an appearance at the cave shrine, where he performs pooja and also reviews the yatra preparations,” sources said.
The Home Minister will also address a grand public rally here on June 23, the death anniversary of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, BJP’s J&K unit chief Ravinder Raina said on Tuesday.
The BJP observes June 23 as Mukherjee’s ‘Balidan Diwas’.
“Mega public rallies are being organised at each parliamentary constituency in Jammu and Kashmir. In the Jammu parliamentary constituency, a mega public rally will be organised in Jammu city on June 23, which will be addressed by Shah,” Raina said.
Leaders and activists of the party have to devote more time to mobilise the public to attend the rallies, including the one by to Amit Shah, said Raina addressing a Maha Jan Sampark Abhiyaan programme being held to highlight the achievements of the Narendra Modi government.
J&K BJP’s general secretary (organisation) Ashok Koul said Maha Jan Sampark Abhiyaan has witnessed massive response from the public and has been a boost for the morale of party workers at the grassroots.
