Srinagar- An elderly tourist from Dehradun area of Uttarakhand on Monday died while four employees were injured after a hotel was gutted in a fire mishap in Pahalgam area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Quoting an official, news agency KNO reported that fire damaged a hotel in Pahalgam area today, during which an elderly tourist staying with her family there went missing while four employees of the hotel received injuries while dousing off fire.
He said soon after flames were doused off the body of Bhupinder Gill (75) of Dehradun was found inside the hotel while further proceedings in this regard have been taken up.
Injured employees of the hotel were identified as Mehraan Parray (25) resident of Seer Anantnag, Yasir Ahmad (24) resident of Katsoo Bijbehara, Naveed Ahmad Lone (20) resident of Pahalgam and Tariq Ahmad Bhat (27) resident of Laripora Pahalgam.
Official said that three employees have been already discharged from the hospital while other one is undergoing treatment.
They said that cause of fire is being ascertained while further investigation has been taken up.
