SRINAGAR- Former international footballer Ishfaq Ahmad was on Wednesday appointed as the Coach cum Selector for the North Zone selection trial for the Under-16 National Team by the All India Football Federation (AIFF).
The Srinagar-born player was recently seen spearheading the U-16 selection trials at Synthetic Turf TRC.
“We are proud to see Ishfaq Ahmad being recognised for his expertise and dedication to the sport. His appointment is a testament to his exceptional coaching abilities and deep understanding of football,” the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) said in a statement.
“On behalf of the Chairman of the JKFA and all our esteemed members, we extend our warmest congratulations and wish Ishfaq Ahmad the very best in this crucial role. We have no doubt that under his guidance, the North Zone selection trial will witness exceptional talent and result in the formation of a strong U16 National Team,” the FA added.
