RAJOURI- As a part of ongoing Nationwide celebration of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to celebrate 75 years of India’s Independence, an Integrated Outreach and Communication Programme (ICOP) on Amrit Mahotsav, G-20 Presidency, Mission LiFE and allied themes was organized by Central Bureau of Communication, Field Office, Rajouri, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Government of India in the Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University(BGSBU).
Vikas Kundal, Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri inaugurated the 2-Day Multimedia Exhibition in the presence of Asgar Ali Shah, Dean Academic Affairs BGSB University; Ghulam Abbas Chaudhary, Joint Director Central Bureau of Communication & Press Information Bureau, J&K and Ladakh, Rajiv Khajuria; Addl. DC and faculty members of the Varsity.
The DC appreciated the efforts of the Central Bureau of Communication, J&K for organizing the event in Rajouri and urged the audience to grasp the knowledge being disseminated by the department. He appreciated focused awareness regarding AKAM, G-20 Presidency, Mission LiFE, various Centrally Sponsored Schemes and initiatives of district administration about which resource persons of various departments are giving information. He urged the youth to use web portals of various departments to avail the benefits of various schemes under Digital India.
Ghulam Abbas Chaudhary, Joint Director, Central Bureau of Communication & Press Information Bureau, J&K and Ladakh, in his welcome address, said that the Government of India has various schemes for an individual which one can avail right from pre-natal stage to death. He expressed gratitude towards district Administration and Authorities of BGSB University for their cooperation and support. He urged the audience to spread the message of the event among common masses to visit the venue as the Exhibition will remain open from 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily (Free of Cost).
Dr. Ali Asghar Shah, Dean Academic Affairs, also addressed the gathering and enlightened the audience about various schemes related to higher Education and cautioned the gathering regarding ill effects of Drug Abuse.
Rajiv Khajuria, Additional DC, Rajouri and Parupkar Singh, Dy. SP Rajouri spoke about the menace of drug abuse, while Parvez Ahmad Lone, Divisional Forest Officer and Masrat Ahmed, Extension Officer, Animal Husbandry spoke about the schemes related to their respective departments.
All the guests and speakers, winning students of National Public HSS (Drawing Competition), Students of BGSB University (Open Quiz), were honoured by CBC Rajouri.
A mesmerizing theme based cultural programme by M/s Chaman Lal Mattoo and Party enthralled the audience.
