Police Launches Manhunt To Nab Accused

Srinagar– Unknown assailant allegedly stabbed a man to death in Batamalloo area of Srinagar here this evening.
Sources said that unknown assailants stabbed a man from Batamalloo area of the city to death following some altercation between the two sides.
Victim, sources said, was critically injured in the incident and succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS Medical College Bemina. The deceased has been identified as Ajaz Ahmad Bhat (45) son of Ghulam Rasool Bhat a resident of Mominabad Batamalloo
A formal case FIR No 67/23 under section 302 of IPC, he said has been registered at police station Batamalloo and investigation set into motion. He also said that police have launched a manhunt to nab the accused.
A police official told Kashmir Observer that the deceased was lying in a pool of blood when the police team reached the spot after receiving information about the incident.
He said the injured was immediately taken to SKIMS Medical College Bemina for treatment where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
