SRINAGAR- A 20-year-old youth from this capital city has achieved a feat by earning his place in Cestoball Team of India and to represent the country in Cestoball World Cup 2023 being held at Bengaluru.
Adeeb Ahmad Wani, presently pursuing BBA at Amity University in Mumbai has brought laurels to the Cestoball Team of Jammu & Kashmir by exhibiting excellent performance in National Cestoball competition which was held in Punjab in March last year. On the basis of his performance, he cemented his place in the Indian team for the Cestoball World Cup 2023.
Teams Known world over for their prowess in Cestoball and participating in the said event which include Argentina, France, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, Nepal & Kenya.
Dr. Ali Mohammad Mir, President, Jammu & Kashmir Cestoball Association, and Fida Hussain congratulated Wani for making the Association and the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir proud by securing his selection for this prestigious World Cup 2023.
“We pray for his scintillating performance in the competition,” Mir said.
The Cestoball World Cup 2023 is being held at Bengaluru from May 22 to 27.
