SRINAGAR- The Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council (JKSC) organised various sports activities under different verticals across several playfields and indoor sports complexes in Kashmir Valley.
A badminton event was held at Sher-i-Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex in which more than 40 players including both boys and girls participated. The girls singles title was bagged by Sadia Khaki while Faiza ended up as the runner up. In boys category Shahnawaz won the title while Hadi settled for runner up title.
Meanwhile, night football activities resumed in Bakshi Stadium.
Various sports activities and competitions were underway at Gindun Sports Complex in the disciplines of Basketball in which Khelo India Girls and Boys team was pitted against Hoopstar Girls Club and Warriors Boys Club respectively. In Kabaddi, JKSC Academy was playing against Police Kabbadi teams.
In other events of Football and Handball, Syed Tajdeen was playing against J&K Bank and Al-Murad Handball Club was competing with J&K Police hand ball team. All matches were in progress on Wednesday under flood lights when the report was filed.
An athletic and cycling event for U-14 school kids was also held at Bakshi Stadium in which more that hundred school kids participated.
