Srinagar- The Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board on Saturday ordered an inquiry into the allegations of embezzlement of donations at a shrine in the Rayil Gund area of Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
According to an order, the Waqf board has constituted a three-member inquiry committee to conduct the audit of donations from year 2000 onwards.
The committee has been asked to conduct inquiry into the allegations of embezzlement of donations and properties at Ziyarat Shareef Rayil Gund.
The inquiry team comprises of Nazir Ahmad Wani (supervisor), Manzoor Ahmad Shah and Khursheed Ahmad Sheikh.
As per the per, the committee has been asked to submit its report within seven days.
