Srinagar- A massive fire broke out in Weer locality of Chattabal area in the old city here this afternoon, damaging two residential houses.
An official said that a fire broke out in two residential houses in Chattabal area this afternoon in which two residential houses were damaged and property worth Lakhs of rupees destroyed.
He said as soon as the incident occurred, fire tender rushed to the spot to douse off the flames.
He said the fire was brought under control after hectic efforts by fire fighters and locals.
Cause of fire, official said is yet to be ascertained, however police has taken cognizance of the incident.
