Srinagar- The School Education Department Tuesday said it will withhold salaries of teaching staff who are evading Annual Transfer Drive 2023 despite having more than three years stay period.
According to a local news agency KNO, the Deputy Secretary to government has intimated this in a communique to Director JK-SCERT, Director School Education of both Jammu and Kashmir regions and Project Director Samagra Shiksha.
According to the official communique, the Deputy Secretary in this regard has sought detail of employees, despite having mature stay have not applied for the online transfer-2023.
It has also sought detail of surplus or attached employees who have not applied for online transfer-2023.
“Besides, it is also requested not to draw the salary of such eligible employees who fail to apply in online transfer-2023,” the government said.
Pertinently, KNO in the previous week has reported that the School Education Department has decided to act tough against the teaching staff that were evading the ATD-2023.
The School Education Department had said that it will likely post those teachers in Zone-IV and V who will have stay of three or more years and are trying to evade transfers under ATD-2023.
Director of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has said that the teachers who have stay of three or more years will have to apply for the transfers
“Some of the teachers who have a stay of three or more years have a concept that they will go unnoticed if they didn’t apply for their transfer but I want to inform those teachers that if they didn’t apply for it, they will definitely get transferred to Zone-IV and V,” DSEJ said.
Earlier, the department in the Annual Transfer Drive announcement has said that eligible employees not applying for transfer despite having a mature stay shall be transferred by the Department anywhere as per the requirement of the Department.
It also said that the preferences for posting shall be that an employee who is working in Zone-I shall opt for Zone- II, III, IV and V. An employee who is working in Zone-II shall opt for Zone- I, III, IV and V. An employee who is working in Zone-III shall opt for Zone-I, II, IV and V. An employee who is working in Zone-IV shall opt for Zone- I, II, III and V. An employee who is working in Zone-V shall opt for Zone- I, II, III and IV.
According to the School Education Department, Zone-I falls within municipal limit of district headquarter, Zone-II outside municipal limit upto 20km from district headquarter, Zone-III beyond 20km to 40Kms from district headquarter, Zone-IV beyond 40kms and above from district headquarter and also where change of residence is required. In addition, those schools where there is no motorable road and walking distance from the nearest motorable road is 7 KMs or more one way.
